This was the view from my office window this evening! I commented to a friend: More…

Who Is Your Slingshot?

This the question that Slingshot Group is asking in their new blog campaign this month:

Slingshots aim us in the right direction.
Slingshots often come along when we’re about to shoot ourselves in the foot or go off like a loose cannon.
Slingshots take the time to stretch us, grow us + challenge us…even when their schedules are busy.
Slingshots remind us that all the tension, pulling, and pressure we go through actually propel us forward!
Slingshots usually have slingshots of their own.

So, who’s your slingshot?

Aging Gracefully & Spritually

Beginning to feel a lot like…

Christmas starts early in America, well at least in our street! Thanksgiving happens and then the streets light up… I struggle to keep up!

Actually Christmas started for me back in August when the creative team at LifeBridge started planning our Christmas program/concert (but that’s another story/blog!)

SO, the day after the turkey feast I was up on the roof feeling like Clark Griswold hangin lights!

The best part of hanging lights each year is the view from our roof!

How Much Did YOUR Kid Cost?

Only just catching up with this blog post – something everyone should read! Unfortunately we’re familiar with some of these questions…

Proverbs 11: 25 says: “those who  refresh others will themselves be refreshed“.

John 7:38 says: “He who believes in me…out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”. Here Jesus is reminding us that when we receive and respond to His fullness and freedom, blessing will overflow in our lives and refresh others. We just need to keep focused on the source – the fountain of the spirit – a river that flows in & out of our lives that overcomes obstacles in the way & keeps rushing on.

Oswald Chambers says: ‘If you believe in Jesus, you will find that God has developed and nourished in you mighty, rushing rivers of blessing for others.’

God is the source of this river and it’s destination is ultimate refreshment described for us in Revelation 21:4: “There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” & Rev 22:5: “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” More…
