Divine Workmanship

This was the view from my office window this evening! I commented to a friend:
“If God can make the sky look that good – surely He can do something beautiful in and through our lives?!”

My friend commented that some of the best sunsets are when the air pollution is at its worst. Then made the observation that God can do His greatest work even with, and through the mess in our world!

Reminds me of the Lord’s words to the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 when he was pleading for God to take away his struggles: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul’s response: “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”(Vs 10)

May God’s divine workmanship shine in and through our lives like the light of the dawn and His glory be evident in our daily walk with the stunning creativity of a unique and brilliant sunset.
